The IPL Laser Hair Removal Handset uses the same clinical-grade technology you'd get at an appointment with the dermatologist but concentrated in a safe, hand-held package. It uses concentrated light energy, known as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), that is absorbed by the melanin in the cells and transformed into heat. This damages the hair follicles that are overactive and dramatically slows down hair growth.

One of the big drawbacks of many hair removal methods is that they can be painful or leave abrasions on the skin. Why can I not use it if I have dark skin?

IPL works by being absorbed by the melanin in the hair cells. However, there’s also melanin in your skin, and dark skin has much more melanin than light skin does. So, with little contrast between your skin and hair color, the melanin in dark skin also absorbs the light energy. This can result in pain, blisters, and even burns if your skin is very dark.

  1. Plug the device in

  3. Click the green light again to select a level
  4. Once the desired level is chosen, put the head of the device on the area you wish to treat (Make sure the head is fully covered by your skin.)
  5. Hold the big button until you see a flash, then continue moving the device to new areas after each flash, until you have finished.
  6. Once you have finished using the device hold the green button to turn off and unplug the device from the wall.

We recommend you shave the desired areas before using your handset. Shaving takes the hair down to the appropriate length whereas not to cause any burns but also allowing the root to get targetted.
